1. Whitney Houston

Whitney Elizabeth Houston (Newark, August 9, 1963 – Beverly Hills, February 11, 2012) was an American singer and model who also acted several times during her life. Houston is the most awarded singer of all time according to Guinness World Records and is one of the best-selling artists ever with 200 million records sold worldwide.

2. Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey (Huntington, New York, March 27, 1969 or 1970 [1]) is an American pop / R & B singer, songwriter, producer and actress. She debuted in 1990 and saw her first five singles go to No. 1 in the US top 100.

After the 1990s, in which Carey became a global star, her popularity declined to unprecedented depths in 2001. In that year, Carey left her Columbia Records label for Virgin, but was fired by Virgin. In the meantime, she released the semi-autobiographical film Glitter, in which she herself played a leading role. The film has been hailed by critics as one of the worst films of all time and was a factor in Carey’s emotional and physical demise, which was widely reported in the media. In 2002, Carey signed with Island Records and returned to the top of the music world with the 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi.

Mariah Carey has sold some 200 million albums and 75 million singles and videos, DVDs and Blu-rays worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time. At the World Music Awards in 2000, she was named the best-selling female artist of the millennium. 3. Celine Dion

Céline Marie Claudette Dion (Charlemagne (Quebec), March 30, 1968) is a Canadian singer. Dion’s first album was released in 1981 (La Voix du bon Dieu). This made her a star in Quebec. The following year she won the gold medal at the World Song Festival in Tokyo. In the years that followed, Dion released several albums with French songs, mostly about the emotional life of this young girl. In 1987 the album Incognito was released in Canada, Dion’s first real pop album.

In 1988 she participated on behalf of Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest, which she won with the song Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi. The victory made Dion famous in Europe. From 1988 on, Dion’s first English-language album Unison was released in 1990. Record label Sony Music had the goal that Dion would break through in the US with the English repertoire. It turned out to work. The single Where Does My Heart Beat Now entered the top 5 of the US Billboard Hot 100 and the album went platinum.

4. Christina Aguilera

Christina María Aguilera (Staten Island (New York), December 18, 1980) is an American pop singer. She broke through with her debut album Christina Aguilera (1999).

In her career, Aguilera has won a host of awards, including six Grammy Awards out of 23 nominations. She also has a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame (since 2010), a star on the Gay Walk Of Fame, and was crowned Disney Legend in 2019.

Her first film, Burlesque, received three Golden Globe nominations.

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins (Tottenham (London), May 5, 1988) is a British pop singer. In 2008 she broke through to the general public with her album 19 and singles like Chasing Pavements and Make You Feel My Love. In 2010 and 2011 she had big hits with Rolling in the Deep, Set Fire to the Rain and Someone Like You from her second album 21. In 2012 she wrote the song Skyfall for the James Bond movie of the same name. Her highly anticipated third album 25 was released in 2015. The first single from this album was Hello. The single reached number 1 worldwide immediately after its release. The single and album broke worldwide records, this album sold more than three million times in the first week.

6. Aretha Franklin

Aretha Louise Franklin (Memphis (Tennessee), March 25, 1942 – Detroit (Michigan), August 16, 2018) was an American gospel, soul and R&B singer. She is in first place in the ranking of the 100 best singers (m / f) of all time by the American music magazine Rolling Stone.

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter (Houston (Texas), September 4, 1981) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, actress and fashion designer. She achieved international fame with the song I Kissed a Girl, which took first place in twenty countries. Well-known hits of hers include Roar and Dark Horse, both of which were a great success. Roar became the second best-selling single of 2014.

To promote the album Prism, Perry went on tour with The Prismatic World Tour, which lasted from May 7, 2014 to October 18, 2015. In 2016 Katy Perry released the song Rise. This song was the anthem for the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2017 Katy Perry made her comeback again with Chained to the Rhythm, in collaboration with Skip Marley.

9. Amy Lee

Amy Lynn Lee (Riverside (California), December 13, 1981) is an American singer.

Amy Lee is the lead singer of the band Evanescence, which she founded in the 1990s with Ben Moody. She plays the piano, harp and writes songs. For the album Fallen she wrote most of the songs with Ben Moody and David Hodges, for The Open Door (2007) she wrote together with Terry Balsamo (guitarist of Evanescence).

She also recorded the songs “Breathe” and “Fall Into You” with David Hodges.

In 2008 Billboard named Madonna the Most Successful Solo Artist of All Time in the Top 100 All time Artist. Dubbed the ever-transforming Queen of Pop, Madonna is the bestselling and most successful female artist of all time. She is also known in the music world as a hard-working perfectionist. According to Guinness World Records, the Queen of Pop has proven to have sold over 300 million albums.
